The Grey’s have a new Head Coach
We’re happy to welcome Kirk Tate as our new head coach. Kirk comes to us from the Huns and has over 20 years of Rugby experience under his belt. Kirk has seen it all and spread the rugby gospel far and wide – we’re extremely excited to have him at the helm.
We’re also proud to announce some new sponsors for the 2016-2017 year

We’ll have the details on the new schedule up soon. For now, the practice schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 at the CFPO Fields in San Marcos – 333 Reimer Ave.

Its been a long, tough season, but hard work has paid off. The Greys are currently sitting at 8 wins and 1 loss, with three home games remaining. Provided we win all 3, we should be in position to go to the TRU playoffs at Highland Park in Dallas May 16-17.

With the Texas State Alumni match quickly coming (Saturday September 6th, 2 pm at West Campus field), it’s time to ramp up for the new season. Practices are currently being held Wednesdays at the armory field, next to the Lions club at 7 pm.
The San Marcos Greys RFC’s 2nd Annual Ruck’n on the River 7’s Tournament is back and will be held on Saturday, May 24th with a record number of 12 entries!
The tournament will be held at the San Marcos City Park and will start promptly at 9am (not rugby time) so that there will be time to float the river and will be finishing between 4-5pm.
Then the post tournament social will be held at the Railyard Bar & Grill at 7pm where we will kick off the mini Pub Crawl around the infamous San Marcos Square, located a couple blocks from City Park.

The club has a big match againt San Antonio Rugby Club this coming Saturday – 2/16. The game will take place at home at the Armory Fields in San Marcos at 2 PM. We want to see all members out at both practices this week, Tuesday and Thursday. Hit the schedule link for more details.
